Gender Issues..

I guess you've all heard about the legalization of Gay Marriage in "California".. Now gays and lesbians can get married anytime.. They'll experience walking down the aisle, exchanging "I do's" and proclaim their undying love to everyone..

Sometimes, I imagine myself getting married.. Wearing a long white dress.. exchanging vows with my partner.. and hear the pastor say "congratulations.. you are now married.. you may kiss the bride".. But I guess same sex marriage will never be legalized here.. the fact that I live in a religious and conservative country... that kind of thingy is a no-no..

Living in a place when not all are very open minded about the changes happening around them, makes you pause for a while and think.. It makes you be more careful in handling yourself to avoid criticism and discrimination.. You see, some people judge you because you are different from what they normally see.. These are the narrow minded human beings who base the person's capability just by looking at them.. Now, where's respect and being fair there?

Have you also heard about the "Cebu scandal"?.. you know.. the gay who was videoed inside the operating room while a canister was being taken out from his private part.. It was posted all over the net..Now where has the conservative people gone?

What about other parents who cant accept their child because she/he is not straight? I know you've heard about parents cursing, hitting and disowning their child because they found out that they're child is a homo.. Where is the unconditional love there?

The bottom line here is really not about same sex marriage.. the heck! It might take another century before that law can be established.. All we wanted is acceptance, respect and love.. For we are not jinxs nor diseases.. We are human beings.. We are also created by God..

created in a different and special way..
